The Mars Hill University Choir and Choral Ensembles
Dr. Rodney Caldwell, Director
The choral program at Mars Hill has a long and storied tradition of excellence. Students participate in a variety of choral ensembles (mixed voice and gender specific). MHU choirs tour annually and participate regularly with other ensembles in performances of major works. The choirs have appeared at Carnegie Hall, have twice toured internationally, and have been regular participants on conference performances of the American Choral Directors Association and Music Educators Association. In addition, Mars Hill University has one of the longest, continuously running choral festivals in the southeast. Each year, the Mars Hill Choral Festival attracts over 300 of the finest high school singers to its campus for a two-day workshop culminating in a performance of the festival choir and Mars Hill choral ensembles.
