The Department of Music will present the Spring 2017 Percussion Ensemble Concert TONIGHT at 7:30pm in Moore Auditorium. This concert will be directed by Dr. Brian Tinkel and Mr. Justin Mabry.
The concert will showcase different types of performing ensembles for percussion including the African Ensemble performing three high-energy songs. Chamber Percussion Players will perform Canticle No. 1 that is a classic work in our repertoire. The Percussion Orchestra will perform a new work for percussion entitled Gasoline Rainbow that features a waterphone. The Marimba Band will perform an arrangement of the popular rag, Fluffy Ruffles, featuring Kendyl Robertson on xylophone. The concert will conclude with the Brazilian Percussion Ensemble playing Tu Maracatu..
